Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25, 1968) is a Canadian actor and a singer from Canada. She is best known for her role in the role of Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor on Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the protagonist on Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She also appeared in films like RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she directed and wrote). Hennessy was raised in Edmonton. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and a marketing/sales executive. His work required a lot of traveling, which meant several changes for the family. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mother and secretary, died in 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother who lived in Kitchener (Ontario) played a part in the raising of her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline Hennessy is her identical twin sister. Jacqueline is an editor for a magazine in Canada. Hennessy is of Irish, French, Swedish and Italian roots from her father's side, and most Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian as well as Austrian ancestry on her mother's. She graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy as well as her sister, and her first role on stage was as twin call-girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who was ultimately chosen for the part, claimed she was selected to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role lasted for three seasons until she was fired in 1996.
