Naomi Watts
Naomi Ellen Watts, born 28 September 1968 was a British actress from the UK. Her family relocated to Australia, she made her film debut in the film For Love Alone (1986) after which she appeared in three television shows, Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ (1991) as well as Home and Away (1991), and the film Flirting (1991). Watts was an unpromising actress when she first came to the United States. She acted in films with a small budget and then was a professional actress. The role was the catalyst for her rise to the international spotlight. Watts then played a tormented journalist in the horror remake The Ring (2002). She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as a grief-stricken mother in Alejandro film 21 Grams (2003).
